I'm Jackie Machado, MD, FAAP
My approach blends the rigor of conventional medicine with the depth of functional and integrative care, addressing root causes rather than isolated complaints, and supporting the whole child from infancy through adolescence. Every family who walks through our doors receives personalized, evidence-based care designed to optimize wellness and create lasting change.
This work is also deeply personal. As a Miami native, a mother, and a sibling to someone with autism and ADHD, I understand firsthand what it means to navigate a healthcare system that doesn't always have the answers families are looking for. My son was born prematurely — an experience that quietly shaped everything about how I practice medicine, and deepened my belief in the body's innate capacity for healing when given the right support.

Getting started with Grove Wellness Kids is straightforward. The Foundation Consultation is your first step — a dedicated appointment where we review your child's full health history, identify key concerns, and determine the right path forward together.

From there, we build a care plan tailored to your child's unique biology and goals — so your family moves forward with clarity, not guesswork.
Once your Foundation Consultation is scheduled, you'll receive a private link to complete your child's intake forms. Designed to go beyond the surface, these forms explore your child's medical history, lifestyle patterns, nutrition, behavior, and wellness goals — giving us a complete picture before we ever meet.
Completing them in advance allows us to arrive prepared and focused, so your first visit is thoughtful, personalized, and anything but routine.
After your child's appointment, you'll have access to our secure Patient Portal — your central hub for staying connected and informed between visits. Through the portal, you can:
- View visit summaries and personalized wellness recommendations
- Securely message your Grove care team
- Track lab results and monitor progress
- Log daily insights through our Food, Mood & Lifestyle Journals to uncover meaningful patterns
When functional lab testing is part of your child's care plan, we coordinate everything from our end. Most of our specialized labs are designed for at-home collection, with kits delivered directly to your door. When a blood draw is needed, we work with kid-friendly phlebotomy services to keep the experience as comfortable as possible. Either way, your family will know exactly what to expect before the first kit arrives.
When supplements are part of your child's care plan, we provide direct access to Fullscript — our preferred platform for practitioner-grade pediatric supplements. Through your personalized Grove dispensary, you'll have:
